Colorful flowers in a tall white vase.

Flower Power

Oct. 24–Dec. 14, 2024

J. Wayne Stark Galleries | Memorial Student Center, MSC 1110

For ages, flowers have been celebrated the world over for their numerous benefits, symbolisms, and inherent messages they communicate. Whether it is Flemish still life that highlights the glory of nature, a botanical illustration that chronicles the ideal version of a plant, or a close up view of flowers as graphic abstractions, their intricate shapes, vibrant colors, and delicate qualities make flowers ideal subjects for artists.

This exhibition includes a variety of media, ranging from decorative glass objects to Persian tiles, and includes works by Beth Van Hoesen, Richard Stout, A.D. Greer, and Grace Kelly, plus many more.
