Bonfire Memorial Cleaning 2023

Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 | 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (2-hour time slots available)
Bonfire Memorial Site at Texas A&M University, History Walk/Spirit Ring

Help the staff of the Texas A&M University Art Galleries clean and preserve the Bonfire Memorial, dedicated to the memories of the 12 Aggies who lost their lives in the Bonfire collapse of 1999. This annual cleaning takes place every November.

All students and community members are invited to participate by signing up for one or more time slots. No experience necessary. Supplies will be provided.

Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing, which might get dirty and/or wet. Note, this activity might include some crouching, stooping, and/or climbing on a ladder, but all abilities are welcome.

The Bonfire Memorial Cleaning took place Nov. 3; the backup cleaning in case of inclement weather on Nov. 10 has been cancelled.
