Graphicanos: Contemporary Latino Prints from the Serie Project
August 25 – October 13, 2016

J. Wayne Stark Galleries

This exhibition highlights the work of contemporary Latino and Chicano artists from the last two decades.  The Serie Project is a non-profit organization founded by Sam Coronado in 1993 in Austin, Texas, that promotes the fine art of serigraphy, or silkscreen printing.  Coronado made it his mission to provide free access to studio experience in printmaking for artists from different professional levels and ethnic backgrounds as a way of promoting the expression of Mexican American and Latino experiences in the United States.

This exhibition has been organized by the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
