Back Country Visions
August 11 – October 2, 2016

J. Wayne Stark Galleries

This exhibition features paintings and prints from Texas A&M University’s permanent collections that focus on landscapes both real and imagined.  It is inspired by Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken”  where the highways and byways “less traveled by,” as Frost would say, “… made all the difference.”

Some of the imagery features country farms, barns and windmills, cornfields, wheat fields, or bluebonnets.  Others may show lonely barren beaches or mystical jungles.  All invite contemplation and imagination.
