Bussing Scholarship Application

Bus Scholarship Application

The University Art Galleries has received some generous funding from Texas A&M's Association of Former Students. We are happy to offer 10, one hundred dollar bussing scholarships to local schools who are in need of such funding to supplement educational field trips throughout the year.
  • Why would this scholarship be beneficial to your students? What are you looking to get out of the experience at University Art Galleries?
The Association of Former Students has been very gracious in offering us this funding. As a token of appreciation, you may be asked to send photos from your visit to the Curator of Education as well as notes, survey responses or similar for us to pass along to AFS' patrons.

K-12

University Art Galleries are available to work with K-12 teachers in developing exhibition and collections based lesson plans for classroom use which align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as well as the Common Core.

Additionally, field trips can be arranged to visit the galleries. Trips may consist of gallery tours, group “looking” activities, story-times and or hands on art making workshops.

Contact our Curator of Education to schedule a trip or to find out more!

EDUCATOR RESOURCES

Professional Development Workshops are available for area educators who wish to incorporate the visual arts into their classroom. These programs are organized for groups between 4 and 12 and include curriculum development discussions, art history talks, exhibition tours and hands-on art making workshops. These are provided at little to no cost depending on the type of activities selected.
