This exhibition explores how the State of Texas and its vistas has impacted the artists who captured the images. From the Gulf Coast to the mountains of Big Bend and the trees of the Hill Country, the Texas landscape has fascinated artists for centuries. Featuring selected works from the University’s permanent collection dating from the late 19th century to the mid-1980’s, the exhibition documents not only the impact of man on the environment, but also how the beauty of the land continues to fascinate us.
